Regency Development (“Regency”, “we”, “us”) operates www.theregency.ca. Our head office is at 20 Mural Street, Unit 5, Richmond Hill, Ontario L4B 1K3.

Information we collect

When you send an enquiry or register your interest, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the project you are interested in, your preferred move-in date (rental enquiries), whether you are a buyer, tenant, renter or agent, and your message.

Like most websites, our hosting provider may record basic technical information, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in server logs, for security and reliability.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to keep you informed about the projects you registered for, and to improve this website.

We send commercial electronic messages, such as project updates by email, only in accordance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every such message tells you how to unsubscribe.

Consent

By submitting a form, you consent to Regency using your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@regencyproperty.ca.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share it with service providers that help us run this website and respond to enquiries (for example, form processing and email), and with sales or leasing representatives acting for Regency. They may use it only for that purpose and must protect it.

We may also disclose information where required by law.

Third-party services and links

This website links to other sites, including project websites, Google Maps, social media and the Regency Broker Portal. Those services have their own privacy policies.

Cookies and browser storage

This website uses Google Analytics, a service of Google, to understand how visitors use it: the pages viewed, how long visits last, the device and browser, and an approximate location. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device; it does not tell us who you are. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

The website also stores your commercial and rental shortlist in your browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. We do not use advertising cookies.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and protect it with reasonable safeguards.

Your rights

Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details below.
